The heim housing is made from an Alloy Steel with a bright chrome polished finish. Ball is made from bearing steel and heat treated and hard chrome finished. Race is made teflon lined with kevlar reinforcement. This increases the working life of the heim joint. These heims have a far superior radial static load compared to your non heat treated heims or your rose joints. The 3 piece rod end also has far superior lateral loading caratoristic in comparison to a 2 piece rod end. If your rod end is likely to experience heavy side loading a 3 piece joint will our last a 2 piece rod end. All heims have a UNF thread. All heims will come with a jam nut.
